Lose Weight Faster on the Medifast Diet
What a lot of people don’t know is that only a handful of commercial weight loss programs in the market today are in fact, scientifically proven. Very few have actually gone through any medical study – that is just one of the things that makes the Medifast diet program different. As acknowledged in other Medifast reviews, Medifast is very proud of the fact that a study by the Johns Hopkins University has revealed that Medifast can achieve substantive weight loss. The figures show that the average weight loss for males is 67 pounds and an average of 57 pounds for women. These results can be achieved in as little as 16 weeks or four months.
So how does it happen?
Two to three days into the program, your body will literally start to burn excess body fat for energy. In this fat-burning level of the plan, you will feel more than average energy levels and feel a decrease in your food craving.
Due to such findings, researchers came to the conclusion that the Medifast weight loss program truly makes available a secure and effectual way of losing weight. What’s more impressive is that weight loss also comes with noteworthy improvements in related health issues.
There is also supplementary research that compares the Medifast program with diabetes medication. The study established that Medifast is more successful at controlling type 2 diabetes compared to an ADA-recommended program.
These Johns Hopkins studies were led by Associate Professor Lawrence Cheskin of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. After gaining the confidence of the abovementioned institution, the Johns Hopkins Weight Management Center in Baltimore, MD has chosen to use Medifast products for their low calorie diets.
This preference has continued for more than eight years. Other scientific studies point out that the majority of the people in the program lose an average of two to five pounds weekly with Medifast.
This is taking into consideration other factors like waistline measurement. Additionally, medical supervision is not required with this diet plan but, as always, it is a good precaution to consult your doctor before starting any weight loss program.
